It is our hope that the time you spend reviewing our website will be informative, engaging and will capture your imagination as we head into our inaugural year with first teaching in September, 2022.
RCS will be the only school in Egypt to offer the Canadian curriculum from Prince Edward Island, alongside the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC).
The Canadian curriculum emphasizes depth and breadth in intellectual, physical, social and emotional learning. It is student centered, and places a premium on self worth and personal values. The educational philosophy underpinning the curriculum aims to cultivate intellectual curiosity, higher order thinking and a “growth mindset”. We believe that all students, and indeed the entire community, will thrive in a vibrant, positive and supportive community.
These values are reinforced and enriched by the International Curriculum, whose key mission is very simple: to improve learning. At the core of this is the recognition that student learning is the single most important factor by which teachers, schools and communities contributing to that learning should be focused on.
